Global Dashboards & New Widgets

This month we're happy to announce some updates that will help you better visualize data within your workspace.

Here's what's new:

Global Dashboards

Based on popular demand, we are releasing the first version of the Global Dashboard.

The Global Dashboard is a Dashboard that consolidates information from different Apps/Dashboards. Think of it as your Fusioo "home screen".

Global Dashboards are available on a per-role basis. For example, as a Fusioo Administrator, you will be able to set up a custom Global Dashboard for your Project Managers.

This Dashboard will include widgets from your Tasks App, Projects App and Clients App, all in one place. You can then set up another Global Dashboard for anyone with the Software Developer Role.

Dashboard Updates

We have also removed some restrictions around normal Dashboard Widgets.

Instead of only being able to create Widgets that show data from the App in context, you will be able to create Widgets that get data from the Apps within your workspace.

New Widgets

And last but not least, we have added 3 highly requested widgets:

• Heading - As the name implies, the Heading widget will allow you to insert a Heading in your Dashboard that can act as a visual divider.
• Text - The Text Widget will help you add text, images and even embedded videos to your Dashboards. This can be quite handy if you need to add any specific usage instructions to your Apps.
• Line/Area Chart - The Line/Area chart will enable you to display information as a series of data points and can be useful to spot trends over time.
